A new one day workshop for monitoring clinical research in the NHS / Universities.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for NHS/ Academic staff whose role involves monitoring clinical research either governed by the ‘Research Governance Framework’ and/or governed by the regulations required for clinical trials of medicinal products or medical devices. For example monitors, research nurses, trial managers, project managers, R&D staff. Management staff involved with supervising monitors or managing oversight of research activity will find this workshop of interest.

Description

It will be an interactive day with a combination of presentations, discussions and workshop. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Define the purpose and discuss the benefits of monitoring clinical research Plan and conduct a monitoring visit Ensure compliance to the research protocol and appropriate regulations Ensure patient safety Ensure data and essential documentation are accurate and in the appropriate format for sponsors, auditors and inspectors Record findings and the agreed actions in a monitoring report

As it is only 1 day pre reading is required prior to attendance.

2011 rate - £235 per person (NHS & Academic)
